The Senheng Education Assistance (SEA) Programme is part of Senheng Social Impact (SSI), our long-term CSR initiative to strengthen education and create opportunities for future leaders.
What is the SEA programme?
Founded to support and benefit talented Malaysian students facing financial hardship, the SEA Programme helps recipients fulfil their dreams of pursuing higher education while gaining early exposure to the working world.
Beyond financial support, the programme offers students the opportunity to grow with Senheng through structured internships and future employment.

If I receive scholarship from other company (without bond)/PTPTN/private loan, am I still eligible for SEA program.
Yes, applicants who received a scholarship without bond, PTPTN, or a private education loan are still eligible for the SEA Program.
Are scholars allowed to change courses and institutions?
Changing courses and institutions are permitted only within the related field of study with prior written approval
What if I complete my degree and wish to continue my Master’s studies?
- If the scholar chooses to continue to Master’s degree without applying under the Company’s SEA Programme (Master’s), the scholar must sign a written agreement within 30 days confirming that the service bond will commence upon completion of the Master’s degree. Failing which, the scholar shall be required to repay the full scholarship amount, including any applicable interest, in accordance with the scholarship agreement.
- If the scholar chooses to continue to Master’s studies under the Company’s SEA Programme, the scholar shall sign a new agreement for the Master’s programme. Upon completion of the Master’s degree, the total service bond shall be 4 years, comprising 2 years for the Bachelor’s degree and 2 years for the Master’s degree, to be served consecutively after completion of the Master’s studies within 30 days.
If I complete both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees under two separate agreements but do not fulfill the service bond, what is the repayment period?

How long is the service bond, and within how many days must I commence employment
The scholar is required to fulfill a 2 year service bond with the Company and must commence employment within 30 days after completion of their studies.
Will I need to repay the scholarship if I discontinue my studies?
Yes, the repayment terms will be applied on a prorated basis, including any applicable interest, as stated in the agreement.
What happens if break the bond?
Scholars may be required to repay the scholarship amount, including any applicable interest, as stated in the agreement.
What is the minimum CGPA requirement to maintain the scholarship and what happens if my CGPA falls below the required level
Scholars must maintain a minimum CGPA 3.0 and if less than 3.0 will not receive the payment for the term.
Who is eligible to apply for the scholarship?
The scholarship is available to students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree only. Foundation and Diploma programmes are not covered under this scheme.
